Tightly Curly Method...my Results!

Here is my results using the Tightly Curly concept with flexi Rods. Using this Method the results were still the same as the outcome would have been without the Rods. My hair is soft, manageable, and less frizzy! Looove Ittt! :) My next attempt will be actually using my natural curl pattern lol

Tightly Curly Attempt!!!

So a few days ago I attempted to try the Tightly Curly Method....In a nutshell...I failed the process :/. Ive been seeing this method used on the internet and blogs A Lot, so I decided to give it a try! I started by pre-pooing my hair, and since I had already clarified my hair a few days back I decided to skip that step. I rinsed my pre-poo with water that was hot enough for me to take. After my hair was soaking wet, I added my conditioner(VO5 strawberries and cream moisture milks) ..lots of it, as stated in the method. Sectioned the hair, smoothed in small section, and once my natural curls started to fall and clump together on their own..I fingered twirled. It became a Little time consuming so I got lazy and just added flexi Rods to medium sized portions of my hair. I sat under the dryer for abt 30 mins. and air dried the rest of the way. I love the outcome and how my hair feels, plus how moisturized it still is after three days! Caution when using this method as to the Conditioners (Combing Conditioners) you leave in...some are not good for you! I used the VO5, but when using the ingredients dictionary on Tightlycurly.com I found one ingredient that may not but good to leave in and was under investigation, so that threw up a red flag. I still think its a great conditioner..but I will not use it as a leave in anymore. Only when shampooing and co- washing. The site has recommended conditioners to use, so my next attempt would most likely be Aveeno Nourish and shine or Ausie Moist. Please make sure you do your research when trying this Method!

Hair Update! GOC

My GOC or grow out challenge is becoming a very hard challenge :/. I've recently have been shooting alot for a magazine and doing shoots for print ads, so I had a lot of  wear and tear on my hair from straightening, products, and additional styling they've done. So I decided to put in a weave! I've had it in a week and a half before Christmas. It looked good, most people thought it was my hair. Today I got bored with it and took it out so to my surprise I did see some growth...way more than I expected in less than a month! But the con to this story is the shedding I experienced..I mean it looks Normal. Overall I loved the look I had, and did see growth. Also I think a properly installed weave and moisturized hair underneath is a great Protective style or Transitioning style.

Fitness Update! Week 3

Daily Routine:
Consist of 5 min warm-up/ intense Cardio.  Basically High knees, Jumping Jacks, Mountain Climbers...anything that with get your heart pumping.

Abs: Crunches, Sit-ups, Standing Obliques, Oblique Crunches. (abt. 3 sets of 10-15 each. of 40 of each)

Glutes: Donkey Kicks, Fire Hydrants, Super-man, Squats, Bicycle crunchs. (abt. 4 sets of 15-20 of each)
Keep in mind squeezing and releasing the glutes throughout the entire move, contracting your abdominal muscles.

For More a Effective Glute workout I use the pre-exhaust method. Do as many of one or more glute exercises that really engages those muscles in the butt til you experience "burn out"/ or until  you really feel the burn! Then when those Muscles are really engaged start an immediate exercise that engages more than one part of the body.
